Carolynn R. Whitford, Soprano
Carolynn studied voice at the Mannes College of Music with her teacher, Dan Marek, author of “Singing, the First Art.” As a soprano with the New York Choral Society, she has performed many of the great choral works such as Vaughan Williams' “A Sea Symphony”, Beethoven's “Missa Solemnis”, Dvorak's “Stabat Mater”, Mahler's “Eighth Symphony”, Brahms' “Ein Deutsches Requiem”, Mozart's “Mass in C Minor” and Glass' “Itaipu”, to name a few favorites, in such great venues as Carnegie Hall, Lincoln Center, with special appearances at Radio City Music Hall for the 1998 Grammy Awards, at Liberty State Park with Andrea Bocelli's American Dream concert in 2000, and many of the Richard Tucker Music Foundation Gala on PBS.

Carolynn's stage credits include such roles as Adele in “Die Fledermaus”, Cunegonde in “Candide”, Amalia in “She Loves Me”, Martha in “1776”, Eileen in “Wonderful Town”, Josephine in “HMS Pinafore”, Monica in “The Medium”, Plaintiff in “Trial by Jury.” Other ensemble roles in “Les Miserables”, “The Secret Garden”, “The Rose Tattoo”, “The Grand Duke”,“Ragtime”, “Cole”, “Brigadoon”, “My Fair Lady”, “The Music Man” and “South Pacific.” Most recently singing the National and Canadian Anthems at the New York Boulders baseball games 7 years running, with too-many-to-list credits of area performances at community and holiday events, churches and recitals.

Carolynn has also enjoyed expanding her theatrical pursuits administratively and behind the scenes as Co-Chair Opening Night Champagne Reception Committee and Lobby Manager at the Elmwood Playhouse; Musical Workshop Director (HMS Pinafore, Pirates of Penzance), Assistant Director (“Three Penny Opera”), make-up designer in many productions and, Musical Director (Holiday Lights Bronx Zoo, NYCS 1998-2000.)

Thomas Hoetzl, pianist
Thomas Hoetzl has been playing piano since he was four. He was rehearsal pianist for his high school's shows, and continued working in musical theater while attending Wesleyan University. He has worked at many theaters as music director or accompanist. Since 2004 he has taught Latin in the Pearl River school district, and since 2012 he has been in charge of the theater program at the high school, directing and accompanying two musicals each school year.
